The Hidden Mountain Pass

Following the tailess hunter cat you find yourself climbing a steep path. When you get to the top there is not sign of the one you were following, but there was a group of six all gathered around something.

You creep closer to see what it was. It was hard to make out between all the excited fuzzy bodies. It was the sound that gave it away. A chirp. Some kind of bird. Sure enough, you finaly glimpsed it, a small injured bird and the cats were playing with it.

Now you knew perfectly well that this was perfectly normal cat behaviour, but you felt so bad about the poor little bird. You took it upon yourself to try and chase the cats away. But that was futile. If you ran throug the bunch of them they'd scatter but quickly return. If you picked on one it would dash about just out of reach of you, but never really going very far, just wide circles around the group. And the little bird couldn't fly so couldn't escape even after the scattering.

About to give up, you make one last dash through the group. Panting, you look about triumphant, the cats had vanished in all directions. You turn back to see what you could do for the bird's injuries only to find nothing but a couple feathers on the ground.

In the chaos, one of the cats had eaten the bird.
