You must have fallen asleep, for the next thing you know, there was another leagus mare with a very concerned look on her face.
"Oh! Good, you were only sleeping. I thought you might be hurt or worse! I hope I didn't drag you from any interesting dreams." There was a dream, something about butter and a beach ball, but that combination convinced you that you didn't want to remember more about it than that. You tell her that it wasn't a very good one. She smiles. "My name is Ariel. I almost didn't see you sleeping there at all. Are you comfortable? I know you humans use something called a bed." She grins. "I ask everyone I meet to tell me something about their species, and somewhere along the line, a human told me about beds. What is something you can tell me?" That was such a vague question that you didn't know how to answer it at first. Then you shrug your shoulder and point out your feet. "Humans wear shoes." She lowered her head to have a good look at them. You take them off to show that they were clothing and actually a part of you. Immediately you regret doing so. Though you couldn't smell anything, you weren't sure that the leagus' fine nose wouldn't find your feet offensive. Apparently there were worse things to smell, and Ariel didn't comment on any odours present. "Thank you!" She said quite happily, and then left you to your nap. |
