Two Minute Pegasus

It was lonely here before,
A dark meadow, frozen moor,
But what is that in the distance,
A large creature with such persistance.
As I sit here I can see
This strange creature staring at me
What it is I cannot know
It's pale green gaze won't let me go.
Wings as gold as a cat's eyes
And an innocence I must despise.
Why can such a horse exist
Is this the reason that I wished?
Maybe I should leave it be
But it's still watching me.
There it goes,
it's gone away,
How I hoped that it would stay.
