The Magical Herd

Valeda had been got but a few moments before another leagus which bore a striking resemblance to the draconic female appeared. Though her coat had none of the starry midnight sheen, her eyes glowed just as bright. She glanced at you curiously.

"Greetings. I don't believe I have met you before. I am Melian."

The question nagged at you, so you had to ask her parentage.

"Yes, Valeda is my mother. And have you met Yanar my father? I see, then you know about as much to know about my as one can know. I'm an open book and harbour no secrets. My passion is encountering creatures such as yourself. Do you think one day I could visit your world?"

You had to admit that a leagus walking down a city street would gather far too much unwanted attention. You feared they may put her in a cage for display, or worse yet, do strange experiments to discover what she was. No, you thought it best to tell her that visiting your world was not such a great idea. She appeared sincerely dismayed.

"Oh, I didn't think that there could be worlds so cruel as that. I guess I should listen to my father when he tells me to be careful, that I am still young and naive. Perhaps I should limit my wanderings to the Rainforest till I am a little older."

You had to laugh and tell her that you were finding the Rainforest to be quite an interesting place with many surprises. She blushed when you included her as one of them.
